Life always has a way of guiding us to where we need to be; and after the work is done, it often leaves us in the most blissful state, enveloped in grace.

My journey has been deeply rooted in an unwavering intrigue with the human mind and its profound influence on behavior and physical health. Since as far back as I can remember, I’ve felt a profound empathy, drawing me inexorably towards the study of psychology during my undergraduate years. This fascination led me to pursue a graduate degree in Mental Health Therapy. Following graduation, I dedicated nearly two years to working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and psychiatric issues, recognizing the importance of addressing both mental and physical well-being. However, life took an unexpected turn as I found myself navigating the tumultuous waters of a divorce, thrusting upon me the responsibilities of single parenthood to three children. This transition pulled me away from my passion for social and community work, leading me to secure a position in corporate administration, where I found professional stability and security over the next decade.

Despite the outward success and stability, a lingering sense of discontent persisted within me, affecting not only my mental but also my physical health. Despite everything looking right on paper, my heart was not content. It was during this period of introspection, after over a decade in hospital administration, a new marriage, and the birth of a child, that I began to reevaluate my life’s purpose. After much contemplation, I made the bold decision to bid farewell to my corporate career and embark on a journey guided by my heart’s desires: meditation, yoga, and helping others improve their mental and physical well-being. While uncertain of the exact path ahead, I trusted the pull of my heart, knowing it was leading me towards fulfillment.

Following a year of intensive study and personal exploration into the intricate connection between mind and body, clarity suddenly dawned upon me. True holistic healing involves not just the mind, but also the body and the sanctity of life itself. With this realization, I returned to the field of mental health, but with a fresh perspective. I firmly believe that addressing mental health necessitates a comprehensive approach that encompasses not just psychological treatment, but also conscious living and nurturing of the body, thoughts, and belief systems.

For me, embracing this philosophy was not just a professional endeavor, but a personal journey towards understanding the intricate balance of overall well-being, encompassing both mental and physical health. And as I delved deeper into this holistic approach, life once again guided me back to where I belong – living in grace and dedicating myself to helping others find their own path to healing and wholeness.

Nicole practiced as a peri-operative nurse for 8 years before going on to obtain her master’s degree as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After seeing first hand the impacts of chronic illness while working in the hospital, she knew she needed to advance her career to help educate others and prevent future disease. Nicole’s believes in a root cause approach to health and healing. Her passion is focused on disease prevention and enhancing one’s health and wellness. She is strongly motivated to help her clients to become the healthiest version of themselves and bridge to the gap between their mental and physical health.

My focus here at Integrated Mind is to help my patients become the healthiest version of themselves through a non traditional approach by offering personalized treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and nutritional guidance to support their health journey. Her integrative approach to whole body wellness focuses health expansion by eating whole foods, optimizing sleep, minimizing toxin exposure, and managing stress.
